Terms of Service

The Wedding Suite is an online wedding planning suite run by Mel in Australia. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use it. We have written them in plain language, because you have enough to read already.

Last updated 3 September 2026

Accepting these terms

By creating an account, starting a free trial, or using any part of The Wedding Suite, you agree to these terms. If you are planning a wedding together, both of you are bound by them, and whoever created the account is responsible for it.

If you do not agree with something here, please do not use the Suite, and tell us why at hello@theweddingsuite.co. We would rather fix a term than lose a couple over it.

Your account

You need an email address and a password to use the Suite. You are responsible for keeping that password to yourself and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into it.

You can invite your partner, and anyone else you trust, into your wedding. Anyone you invite can see and change the wedding’s details, apart from anything you keep in Private Vows, which stays visible only to the person who wrote it. Invite carefully.

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. The Suite is built for adults planning a wedding, not for children.

Subscription and billing

The Wedding Suite is a subscription. After your free trial it is US$49 per month, or US$499 per year if you choose the yearly plan, which saves you US$89 a year. Prices are shown in US dollars and your bank may apply its own conversion.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s own hosted checkout page and are never sent to or stored on our servers. We keep only the customer and subscription identifiers Stripe gives us, plus the status and renewal date of your plan.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a short while; your Suite keeps working during those retries, and access pauses only once Stripe gives up on the charge.

We may change the price of the Suite. If we do, existing subscriptions keep their current price until the start of the next billing period after we have told you by email, so you always get the chance to cancel first.

The free trial

Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial of the full Suite. Nothing is held back during the trial: every planner, your wedding website and every export is included.

You give card details when you start the trial so the subscription can continue without a break, but you are not charged until day 7. Cancel any time before then and you pay nothing at all.

Cancelling

You can cancel whenever you like, from the billing page inside your account, which opens your own Stripe customer portal. There is no phone call, no retention script and no notice period.

Cancelling stops the next charge. You keep access to the Suite until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your wedding data stays in your account so you can come back and pick up where you left off. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy for what happens to money already paid.

If you want your account and everything in it deleted rather than simply closed, email us and we will do it.

Acceptable use

Please do not use The Wedding Suite to:

  • publish anything unlawful, hateful, threatening, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • upload photos or files you do not have the right to share;
  • send unsolicited marketing to people who are not your wedding guests;
  • break into, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the Suite or the accounts of other couples;
  • resell or sublicense access to the Suite, or share one account across several weddings that are not yours.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where the problem looks like a misunderstanding rather than deliberate abuse, we will contact you first.

Your content and our work

Your wedding is yours. Your guest list, budget, photos, vows, schedule, website copy and everything else you put into the Suite remain your property. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, back it up, and display it to you, to the people you invite into your wedding, and to anyone who visits your wedding website once you publish it.

We never sell your content, never use it to train anything, and never publish it as an example without asking you first.

The Suite itself, including its software, layouts, templates, typography, illustrations and the name The Wedding Suite, belongs to The Wedding Suite and Mel. You may use all of it to plan your own wedding, and you may print and share what you produce with it. You may not copy the product itself, or the templates on their own, to build or sell something similar.

Your guests’ information

When you add guests, we hold their names, and whatever else you choose to record: email addresses, dietary notes, addresses, RSVPs and replies to your own questions. That information is processed on your behalf. You decide what goes in, who sees it and when it is deleted.

Because it is your guests’ information, you are responsible for collecting it fairly: tell people why you are asking, only record what you actually need, and delete it once the wedding is behind you. We will help you with the deleting part whenever you ask.

A published wedding website, and its RSVP link, is public to anyone who has the address. It is not indexed by search engines by default, but treat the link as shareable, because your guests will share it. Do not put anything on that page you would not want a stranger to read.

Availability and changes to the Suite

We work hard to keep the Suite up, and it runs on serious infrastructure, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable. Maintenance, an outage at one of our providers, or something we broke ourselves can all interrupt it.

We add to and improve the Suite constantly. Occasionally that means a feature changes shape or is replaced by a better one. We will not remove something you depend on without a way to get your data out of it. Every planner in the Suite can be exported, and the offline edition of your planner is yours to keep.

Liability

The Wedding Suite is a planning tool. It does not run your wedding, book your vendors or replace your own checking. Please confirm the things that matter, such as times, addresses, headcounts and contracts, directly with the people involved.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or opportunities, or for anything arising from your use of the Suite beyond the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a consumer guarantee applies and we are permitted to limit our liability, we limit it to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state and of the Commonwealth of Australia. If you are a consumer somewhere else, you keep any mandatory protections your local law gives you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Suite grows. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect, and continuing to use the Suite after that means you accept the new terms.
